We all know how hard it is to ask for help. It is one of the hardest things to do. There is no good time to ask, no way to ask that doesn't feel complicated, and no way to put our hearts at ease when we know we can't face the challenge alone.

With that in mind, I am asking for help for a family I know and love dearly. They face unimaginable challenges as Matt fights daily for his health and his family. He still has a lot to endure, with more surgeries scheduled. Those of us that are lucky enough to know Matt and Desi know that this has been an extremely difficult time for their family. Matt continues to face challenges and is fighting each day to overcome them.

The bills are already adding up and this time of year it hits even harder. Let's do what we can to help ease the burden for this wonderful family. It is not enough to just say "let me know if you need anything." They are in need and now is the time to show up for them... just like Matt shows up at our door anytime he can.

P. S. Matt will probably be mad as hell at me for doing this, but I know they need us.
