At 1:00 PM (January 9th 2026), my little sister Madison and her stepdad Jim were involved in a serious car accident that resulted in their vehicle being completely totaled. Both were transported by ambulance to the hospital, and the impact of this accident has changed everything for our family in an instant.
Madison suffered severe injuries. She will require surgery on her hand and wrist, sustained fractures to her face and jaw, lost her front tooth, and will need plastic surgery for facial injury. She also injured her knee and is facing a long and painful recovery. Beyond the physical trauma, this has been incredibly frightening and overwhelming for her.
Jim was also injured in the accident. His knee was dislocated on impact and, although it popped back into place, he is in significant pain and will need ongoing medical care and time off work to recover.
Because of the severity of their injuries, my mom and Jim will both need to take time off work to focus on medical care and recovery. Hospital bills, ambulance costs, surgeries, follow-up appointments, medications, dental care, and physical therapy are already adding up, and there will be ongoing expenses for months to come.
In addition, I will be flying out to help my mom care for both Madison and Jim during this critical time, which adds unexpected travel costs to an already overwhelming situation.
We are asking for help to ease the financial burden so our family can focus on healing instead of worrying about how to cover these costs. Any donation—no matter the amount—will go directly toward:
• Emergency and hospital bills
• Surgical and specialist care
• Dental and facial reconstruction expenses
• Medications, therapy, and follow-up treatment
• Lost wages due to time off work
• Travel and caregiving-related expenses
If you are unable to donate, we would be deeply grateful if you could share this fundraiser. Your support, prayers, and kindness mean more than we can express during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for helping our family through this.
With gratitude,
big sis Genevieve and family♥️
