From the very beginning, this pregnancy was filled with many challenges that Whitney and Devon embraced with strength, love and lots of prayers. There were a few scares along the way and they knew the road ahead would be long, but they also knew they would face it together and provide love and support to the twins and their little family.
On May 1st, Charlie and Walker decided they were ready to to take on this world. Charlie came first at a 3lbs, 9oz and ready to go. Walker on the other hand decided to take advantage of the space vacated by his sister and flipped sideways, resulting in an emergency c-section for him. weighing in a 4 lbs.
Both babies are currently in the NICU, where they are being closely cared for as they grow stronger each day. The twins have been fighting every single day, showing us just how strong they are. They are expected to remain in the hospital NICU at least until their due date, which is around 8 more weeks.
Devon and Whitney have a long journey ahead of them. As they prepare to be discharged, they are facing one of the hardest parts of this journey—leaving the hospital without their babies. They will go back home to recover and take care of their other two little ones, but will be making that drive daily just to be with them. Devon works full-time and will have to return back to work soon to provide for his beautiful family.
This preganancy has been hard already ready and this journey ahead will be hard emotionally, physically, and financially. Leaving the hospital each day without their babies is heartbreaking enough and the expenses continue to add up.
We’re asking for help to ease some of this burden for them so they can stay focused on Charlie and Walker, and still be able to be there for their other two kids, Scarlett and Braxton. Between gas for daily trips, meals during long hospital days, and occasional overnight stays near the hospital when needed, the financial strain is real. We are asking for help to lift some of that weight so they can focus on what matters most—being present, healing, and loving on their babies during this critical time.
Any support, shares, or prayers mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us stay strong for our little fighters.
How you can support us:
• Donate: Any amount helps cover their medical bills, their gas to and from each day and daily costs to be with the babies.
• Share: Even if you can’t give, sharing our story with your network means the world to us.
• Good thoughts and prayers: every.little bit helps.
So much of this journey is out of their hands. But as a community, we have the opportunity to step in and help carry some of the weight.
If you’re able, please consider giving. Every donation—big or small—will help provide stability, relief, and support for this sweet family as they navigate the weeks and months ahead.
