On Sunday, May 18, the world lost David Chadderton after a short but courageous battle with cancer. If you knew Dave, you knew the kind of man he was—steady, kind, funny, and fiercely loyal to his family and community. He built a life from the ground up with his own hands, working as a skilled auto body technician, riding his Harley for peace, and creating a home where everyone was welcome.
Dave didn’t just live a good life—he gave love freely and fully, and he deserves to be celebrated with that same love now that he’s gone.
Due to an unexpected and painful complication with his life insurance policy, the funds intended to cover his funeral are no longer available. Despite being estranged for over a year, Dave’s father remains the sole beneficiary of the policy and has refused to release any funds—leaving the family without the means to cover funeral costs.
Some funds have been pulled together, but an additional $15,000 is urgently needed by Friday, May 24 to move forward with the service. This isn’t just about closure for the family—it’s about offering a final goodbye to the many friends, neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones who were a part of Dave’s life and story.
Any amount you can give—whether through donation or by sharing this page—brings us one step closer to honoring Dave the way he deserves to be remembered: with dignity, warmth, and the love of his community.
With sincere thanks,
Dannielle Bryan
