Dara Walters was a mother of 2 little girls... After what seemed like a long time of ups and downs life threw her way , she finally meet her soul mate Tanner Flanagan. He had a little girl Haylee and the two of them fit perfectly together with her 2 girls Autumn and Summer. The look in her eyes when she looked at him was like stars in the sky. She knew it was him, she wanted to be with for the rest of their lives, and complete their little family. She asked him to marry her, and on October 6, 2012 they did just that and became Mrs. Tanner Flanagan . On April 24, 2013 they welcomed Casidhe into their lives completing thier family. After the birth of their youngest Dara finally decided to complete her life long goal and become a Registered Nurse. While in school Western Governors University, and being a mommy, Tanner was the sole supporter of their family. Recently Dara graduated, and received her R.N. and was able to get a job at a hospital, after many months of searching.
Sadly, Tanner began to struggle with Satan, and severe depression. Dara made sure to get him all the help possible and as a nurse she made sure he was taking care of himself. He was a christian who knew and loved the lord , and attended church regularly with the family. On May 7th, 2019 at the young age of 33 Tanner lost his battle with Satan and took his own life, leaving behind a heartbroken wife, 4 little girls, family and hundreds of friends.
Tanner never meet a stranger. He would do ANYTHING for anyone no questions asked, because that was the kind of man and father Tanner was. A genuine GOOD man, taken long before his time. He took Autumn and Summer as his own girls, and LOVED them all unconditionally and was an AMAZING father, husband and friend.
Dara has not been with her job long enough to utilize FMLA or PTO time and is currently on unpaid leave trying to process all of this with the girls, and bills are coming in, and going unpaid at this time. Morgage, vehicles, burial expenses, medical bills, and many unforeseen expenses in a tragedy such as this. Any help you can give to ease the worry of this family would be such a blessing in this devastating time.
Dara has been my BEST friend as well as MANY MANY others as has Tanner for many years, together Shelby and I are very passionate about doing everything in our power to help her and her family thru this as they helped so many in the community. They never asked for anything in return, and would give the shirt off their back to help a stranger and did many times over. Please as a community lets not let this family have any more worries while trying to heal from this loss :(
