Easing the Bounds' Burden: Support Baby Iver
Donation protected
My name is Christiana, and i'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of the Bounds Family.
Jenna and Logan have 2 beautiful daughters. However, in hopes to grow their family, Jenna has been through 6 miscarriages in the last 5 years. After several procedures and tests, Jenna found out she was pregnant with a little boy in July of this year. Her pregnancy was filled with trials. She had another round of hyperemisis and was on IVS starting at 9 weeks. Then at 19 weeks, Jenna hemorrhaged and had to be taken by ambulance to the emergency room. She lost a liter and a half of blood. She then stayed there for 3 days to be monitored. She had a sub chorionic hemorrhage that led to a placenta abruption and she was ultimately put on full-time bed rest at home in hopes to stay pregnant as long as possible while receiving in-home infusions. Unfortunately, Jenna's bleeding would not stop so she was admitted to the hospital at 23 weeks to prioritize both her and the baby's health and safety. They also discovered that her water had broken so there was no fluid in her amniotic sac for him to grow in. At 26 weeks +1 day, the doctors ultimately decided that it would be safer to have the baby out of the womb than in. Iver O’Neal Bounds was born at 10:49 AM, weighing 1lb 15oz by c-section. Iver is in the NICU for the foreseeable future as he continues to grow and develop. As is typical, he continues to make strides forward and some backward. At just 5 days old, Iver had to be life flighted to Primary Children's Hospital to undergo some testing after he was throwing up bile. The NICU journey will be taxing.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to ease the financial burdens that they are already experiencing as Iver is in the NICU, in addition to the normal expenses of everyday life like rent, food, utilities, etc. Because of her pregnancy complications and emergency delivery, Jenna had stop working and her husband Logan has had to cut back his hours to be able to fully provide emotional and physical support for the girls, Jenna and their new baby boy. As a result, income has been low and the financial burden will inevitably continue to rise. The road ahead remains uncertain but through the support that they have received and the generosity they will receive through this fundraiser will allow them to find joy in times of suffering and struggle.
We know this time of year can be tough for many, but we appreciate any amount you are willing and able to donate. If you are unable to donate, we would love your support by sharing this fundraiser and any prayers/well wishes you can make on behalf of the Bounds family. We will continue to provide updates regarding Iver as a thank you for your generosity.
