Easing Sharon's Burden After Mike's Accident

As many of you know already, this week my longtime best friend Sharon Mossy tragically lost Mike Dewey, her “other half” of 24 years, in a snowmobiling accident.

Unfortunately due to them not being legally married, Sharon doesn’t currently have access to Mike’s bank accounts. I am organizing this fundraiser as she really needs our financial support to help pay her day to day living expenses (such as utility bills and groceries). Donations are also very needed to help pay the attorney’s fees as she navigates the probate court process.

For those of you who would prefer not to donate through GoFundMe, Sharon expressed that Visa and Walmart gift cards will be very helpful to have for items like groceries.

Sharon is such an asset to all of her communities (including model horses, quilting, fellow teachers) and personally she’s been a best friend in my life for almost 30 years. My heart breaks for the pain she is in and it feels so unfair that such a wonderful, meant to be couple would be split apart so suddenly.

Although nothing can take away such immense loss or grief, I really hope together we can at least ease the financial stress part of this nightmare for her. Please know no donation is too small - every donation and every share (even if you’re not in a place to donate) is so appreciated.
