It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Rob Chasteen. Rob was a talented musician, a loving father, brother, and friend, and he will be deeply missed.

Rob was 65, and his only daughter, Sarah (28), lives in California. Rob did not have a life insurance policy or a will, so his daughter has taken on the responsibility of his end-of-life expenses. She has been very strong and resourceful and has attempted to get assistance with the costs of the cremation through the county and Social Security, but those requests have unfortunately been denied.

Grieving the loss of her father from across the country, while worrying about the cost of funeral arrangements, has been overwhelming.

Doing a GoFundMe was the easiest place to ask for help with the cremation cost and any subsequent expenses that Sarah will endure in the coming months.

We know this is a difficult time, and any donation, no matter how small, will help ease Sarah’s financial burden and allow her to focus on grieving and celebrating her father’s life.

Maybe this could even help Sarah and her fiancé come to MN to plan a celebration of life for Rob this summer.
