Easing Paul's Burden After Bonnie's Loss

Donation protected
Hello friends. If you're seeing this, you know and obviously love Paul.
Paul's best friend is his cat Bonnie.
She came to him from the sewers as a few-week-old kitten in 2022, boldly walking up his driveway with two large dogs in her way. From that moment, Paul and Bonnie were inseparable.

Paul and I had been in New York for a few days visiting his childhood friend when our pet sitter told us he couldn't find Bonnie. After a while, he found her curled around the furnace and not responsive. She showed some signs of seizure, and we had him rush her to the emergency vet. She started seizing upon arrival at Noah's Emergency Clinic. They ran bloodwork and gave her X-ray imaging. No signs of anything abnormal, but the repeated seizures made them categorize her as "critical" and gave them concern that she needed more neurological assistance, which they were not equipped to provide. So our sitter transferred Bonnie to VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center, who specialize in neurological care.
The VCA couldn't identify anything that could be causing the seizures, so the best option for being able to further treat Bonnie would be an MRI and a spinal tap as well as a few fully monitored days with expensive medication via IV to test for any potential swelling or tumors in the brain and test for any infectious diseases, abnormal cell counts, or cancer that added up to about $10,000. Paul, being the incredible papa that he is, didn't bat an eye and moved forward to try and save his girl and took the first flight Tuesday home from New York.
After the MRI and spinal tap, they attempted to wean her off of the anti-seizure medication to see if they could stabilize her. Unfortunately, the seizure activity continued, and her condition declined even more rapidly.
The MRI came back normal, and the spinal tap also came back normal. We felt helpless.
Thursday morning, when Jacq was driving the rest of the way home, the VCA notified Paul that Bonnie's temperature was lowering as well as her heart rate.
They made the incredibly hard decision to let Paul's best friend pass at 12:30 PM on Thursday, February 27th.

Paul did everything he could to protect his baby girl.
He spent over $14,000 and couldn't bring her home.
Please help me lighten the burden on Paul in his grief.

If you feel like supporting, please Jacq your mailing address so we can send you a thank you note, no matter how small of the support. We will be so grateful for any assistance. We do not expect to raise this much at all. Just hoping to lighten some of the burden Paul has incurred during this tragic loss.

We were supposed to go on a vacation to Japan in March this year, but we don't know what we will do moving forward as this is a small fortune that we obviously were not planning on.
