I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support during an incredibly painful time for our family. Just eight days after moving back home to be with loved ones, my nephew — my sister’s son — was tragically taken from us due to senseless gun violence after attending Native Omaha Days.

This unimaginable loss has left my sister shattered, and as her family, we are doing everything we can to hold her up. No one should have to bury their child, and no mother should have to face this kind of pain alone.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to help take some of the financial burden off my sister’s shoulders during this heartbreaking time. Any donation — no matter the size — will help tremendously with funeral expenses and allow her the space to grieve without the added stress of financial strain.
