My dad Henry’s Funeral Servies
Donation protected
*update: We lost my dad Henry Day, Jr early this morning, May 17th after a long battle. My dad taught me a lot of things. How to work hard, how to ride a bike and throw a baseball, countless hours of pop trivia knowledge, and how to love and care for others. He always worried about everyone. When he was on the railroad, many of his friends passed… I found out as an adult that he went to the funerals often as us kids were in school. We had no idea. He raised money, he helped the families. I would love to see that paid forward. We are unsure of there will be a burial at this time. However, I would like my mother to be able to have the choice. Thank you for all the prayers and condolences. I miss my dad. He loved his family and we loved him. He had many friends and a big family. Life will be very different. He fought long, hard fight to be here with us. You can be at peace now Dad.
Both my parents are in declining health. The medical bills are stacking up. My father goes to dialysis four times a week and is in palliative care. My mother has had several surgeries recently for her heart and just had tear duct replacement surgery last week and may need a second. Both my parents are on retirement pay once a month. My father is disabled and legally blind.
I hate to watch them struggle. Family has helped, but I’m asking for any help that you are willing to offer. Even sharing this helps. My parents would be mortified if they knew I was setting up a GoFundMe page because they have always found a way. I just want them to stop stressing so they can heal.
Thank you for reading this. Any little bit helps. My parents’ have six grandchildren and four children who need them to be around as long as possible. My daughter is five years old and I would like to have them here to see her grow up as long as possible.
