Easing Laura Palmer's ALS Journey
Donation protected
I have known Laura Palmer for 25-plus years since our college days at Belmont. To know Laura is to love her. Laura is bravely fighting ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease), a progressive neurodegenerative condition that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. This disease leads to the loss of muscle control and mobility, making everyday activities increasingly challenging. With no known cure, those diagnosed with ALS require extensive support, ongoing medical care, and adjustments to daily life.
With her permission, I’ve created this page for anyone who wishes to support Laura and her family. Donations will help cover expenses such as meals, gas for appointments, and caregiving. They have someone assisting in their home 1 to 3 days a week at a rate of $25 per hour. These costs add up, and they shouldn’t have to worry about these things.
This fund simply aims to make life a little easier for Laura, Rick, and Avery as they navigate this journey. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your support!
