After 8 years of dialysis, I have finally been given the opportunity to receive a kidney transplant. While this is a blessing I have been waiting for, the recovery period will bring financial challenges for me and my family.

As a single parent and head of household for my two minor children, I will be unable to work during recovery and need help covering basic living expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and other household bills for the first few months after surgery. I am also raising funds to maintain my Kaiser health insurance for the next year so I can receive the follow-up care and medications that are essential to a successful transplant.
