Support 7-year-old Autism kid Likita’s Therapy, Ease Devika’s Burden

In support of 7-year-old Likita's speech therapy and occupational therapy.

Dear Friends and Well-Wishers,

I am raising funds to support 7-year-old Likita, the daughter of my childhood schoolmate, Devika Venkatesan. Likita has been undergoing speech therapy and occupational therapy for autism for the past three years, and she has shown encouraging progress. However, she still requires continued therapy over the next few years to further improve her communication and daily living skills.

Devika is a homemaker based in Bangalore. Her husband, who works as a daily wage earner in an electric shop in Bangalore and is also a kidney transplant patient, is the primary earning member of the family. He underwent a renal transplant 10 years ago, and Devika herself was the donor. Despite these medical and financial challenges, they have been doing everything possible to provide the best care and treatment for their daughter.

Likita currently requires therapy sessions nearly five times a week, costing approximately ₹25,000 per month. Due to the family’s financial situation, continuing these essential therapies has become extremely difficult.
