Hi, my name is Fiona. I am fundraising for a foundation that is very close to my heart. In 1997 Turlough and I volunteered in the Nicoresti orphanage for abandoned children with special needs. Many of you will remember the horrific conditions highlighted in the media in the 1990's but nothing prepared us for what we saw. In 1998 we founded a charity to build forever homes and made a lifetime commitment to these most deserving kids. More two decades on many of them are still with us. It has been a very tough year for everyone and we have really struggled to provide the basics during the pandemic but we did! Anyone who knows me will know that I hate asking for donations but needs must. To raise these much needed funds and to continue our work in Nicoresti I will be running the Reykavik Marathon, Iceland on the 21st of August. If you are in a position to donate I would really appreciate it. A little goes a long way in our foundation. 100% of your donation is attributed to the foundation.
