Help the Weirs in this difficult time

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Callum and this is a little bit of my story.

As many of you know I have always struggled with my health. Being born chronically ill I have always dealt with health problems as they come and go. Being in and out of the hospital has become almost second nature for my family and I. But this past year had been especially hard on us, and in October we got the news that we knew would eventually come but always felt it would be a lot further down the road.

I need a third liver transplant.

The news came in October when I was admitted to the hospital and things have been a struggle ever since.

I was in hospital for most of October, getting to go home for about a week at the end of the month but ended up having to return to hospital via ambulance as my health was slowly taking a turn for the worst. Thankfully now after many tests and procedures things have now stabilized for the most part, but I am still unable to return home to be with my family and have been in the hospital for the better part of 2 months while my wife has been at home with our 4 year old son.

Once I receive the transplant it will be a long and difficult road to recovery as this is my third time going through this procedure. I will be spending time in the ICU directly after the operation, and will be in the hospital for an unknown amount of time after that but it is estimated to be at least a few more months putting even more strain on us.

With me being in hospital so long, and such a long journey still to go have been unable to work and provide the vital secondary income for my family. As hard as as it is I feel like I have no other options except to ask for help in order to help bridge the gap that my income would have been providing for us.

Anything and everything donated will be put towards the bills that have been pushed aside since my admission. I understand everyone is feeling the pressure of the rising cost of living, and we have as well especially now trying to manage everything off of a single income.

I appreciate you taking the time to read a little bit about me and my family, and will happily take any prayers and happy thoughts that you can spare as well
-Callum
