A Heartfelt Plea to Support Tony, Cristina, and Wrenly in Their Darkest Hour
My name is Lynne, and as the owner of Studio 72 in Easthampton, I’ve had the privilege of working with Cristina, one of the most remarkable people I know. Her warmth, dedication, and talent as a hair stylist, nail tech, and lash technician light up our salon and the lives of everyone she touches. But today, I’m writing not as her employer, but as someone who cares deeply about Cristina, her husband Tony, and their 2.5-year-old daughter, Wrenly, as they face a heartbreaking crisis.
On August 6th, Tony and Cristina received devastating news: Tony has stage four lung cancer that has spread to his brain. This diagnosis came after months of symptoms that doctors misdiagnosed as another syndrome, costing this young family critical time. Now, Tony is hospitalized, battling severe symptoms, including bleeding in his brain. Cristina, a pillar of strength, is by his side day and night, sleeping in a chair next to his hospital bed, holding onto hope while grappling with shock, panic, and profound sadness.
Tony and Cristina are beloved, longtime residents of the Easthampton area. High school sweethearts, they married in 2018 and welcomed their joyful daughter, Wrenly, in 2022. Tony, a skilled HVAC technician with TJ Conway, and Cristina, a cherished member of our Studio 72 family, have worked hard to build their dream of a home filled with love, laughter, and plans for the future. But now, that dream is at risk.
Cristina is unable to work as she pours her energy into caring for Tony and Wrenly. She spends her days at the hospital, ensuring Tony is never alone, while her family steps in to care for Wrenly overnight. Each morning, Cristina returns home to be with her daughter, arranging for loved ones to stay by Tony’s side in her absence. This exhausting cycle—balancing her role as a devoted wife and mother while facing this unimaginable reality—is taking an immense toll.
The financial strain is overwhelming. With both Tony and Cristina’s incomes suddenly stopped, financial struggle is inevitable. This is where our community can make a difference.
I’m reaching out to ask for your help to ease the financial burden on this beautiful family. Your donation, no matter the size, will help cover essential expenses so Cristina can focus on supporting Tony and nurturing Wrenly without the added weight of financial stress. Every dollar brings them closer to stability during this crisis.
Tony and Cristina have always been part of the fabric of our community, and now it’s our turn to rally around them. Please consider donating today and sharing this fundraiser with others who might want to help. Your generosity will show this young family that our community stands with them, offering love, hope, and support as they fight this battle together.
Thank you for opening your heart to Tony, Cristina, and little Wrenly. Let’s lift them up in their time of need.
