Ease the pressure of living with MND

Hi, I’m Phil and in July 2023 I was diagnosed with Motor Neurones Disease. This a terminal illness with no cure and very little in way of treatments.

As a 46yr old keen martial artist and fitness hobbyist this is devastating- the condition involves the wasting of muscles and life gets progressively more difficult leading to severe disability.

there are a lot of supplements that can ease the discomfort but have to be purchased they aren’t on prescription. There is also going to be a lot of equipment I will need to help with my care as the condition progresses.

As well as this there are medical trials happening all over the world in search of treatments and if there is a chance of treatment abroad I will need the funds to try and get access.

Our household income is expected to be 25% of what it is currently as my wife becomes my full time carer and the average EXTRA annual costs are around £14500 for someone with this condition.
