Ease the Financial Burden of Brennan's Recovery

Hi, my name is Laura Strebeck and I am a colleague and friend of the Kristin Davis and fellow mom to a kiddo with special needs.

On June 1, the Children's Hospital Colorado flight team transferred Brennan to their main campus in area for emergency surgery due to a malrotated intestine, which caused Brennan to go into shock. He had a successful surgery but has had a rough road to recovery.

Since surgery, Brennan has not been able to tolerate food by mouth of by g-tube. From the night of the surgery until June 12, he only tolerated clear liquids through his g-tube. When given formula on two occasions, he vomited due to an ileus (when a part of the intestine will not move food through in the absence of a blockage). On June 12, the medical team placed a PICC line to deliver TPN (IV nutrition) per Kristin's request.

Kristin, the sole income earner for her household, has missed two weeks of work so far. Brennan has no anticipated date of discharge at this time. I had to twist her arm a bit to let me create a GoFundMe because she has difficulty asking for help.
