No one wants to make a GoFundMe for themselves. It's pretty humbling. I did this only once before and that was for the exciting request to help me launch a publishing career of my writing. This is not that kind of fun request.

No, this is just a sad moment when I realize that I am finally divorced, but that it took four years and $65,000 to do it. That my credit cards are just about maxed out, that I am the one who is going to be on the hook for child support for one kid while, alone, trying to put the other one through college, and that all of my expenses are going up while my employer just announced a hiring freeze in the midst of a job search I had hoped would help me increase my salary to pay for all this (hey, I have a pension to consider here, so I am not leaving the system! LOL)

So. I know most of you are hurting financially, too. I honestly am not expecting much to come of this. These are hard and uncertain times we're living in. But I am sitting here with tens of thousands of dollars in debt and no clear way out of this financial mess. I figure there is no harm in humbly asking for help from anyone who *does* have the means to do so. So if you have a few bucks to toss into Hilary's Divorce Relief Fund, well, my gratitude will be immense.
