Ease Mother Elizabeth's Suffering

Dear Friends in Christ,

As you can see, the Lord has chosen our beloved sister Mati Jelisaveta (Mother Elizabeth) for a heavy cross to crown the labors of her much-suffering life. Mati Jelisaveta has been a pillar of strength in our sisterhood for more than twenty years and we financially struggling to meet all of her needs in her affliction, which requires special food (since the tumors are growing in her face and she can no longer eat solids), expensive medicines, equipment, etc. Serbia has state medical care but it is quite bad, and does not even cover the pain medicine necessary to grant Mati Jelisaveta some relief from the pain of the growing tumors, which the doctors say they can no longer operate on. Right now our abbess is the only one physically and mentally strong enough to take care of her in this advanced state of illness, but we may need to pay for the help of a hospice nurse to help out at least sometimes. Meanwhile, as it is winter time, our sisters are mostly isolated at the mountain, it being no longer the season for selling our natural products on the streets, so money for our basic needs is tight on all fronts.
