My name is Lori Strong, I’m setting up this GoFundMe in support of one of my best friends, Lori Cusimano, to help her properly lay her beloved mom, Ruth Foubister, to rest with the service she deserves.

In March 2023, Ruth suffered a terrible fall after tripping over her dog in the middle of the night. From that moment on, she endured long hospital stays, painful injuries, and mistreatment in rehab facilities that left her completely immobile and dependent on aides - and on Lori - for her daily care.

Tragically, on November 8th, Ruth lost her hard-fought battle with her health challenges and passed away with her daughter right by her side. Throughout this entire journey, Lori has been both emotionally and financially responsible for her mother’s care. She’s spent countless amounts on home care supplies, aides, hospital bills, food, and so much more - all without any outside support.

I’m raising money to help Lori give her mom a beautiful service and ease the financial burden during this heartbreaking time. Lori is the kind of person who is always giving to others, even when she has little left to give. She and her mother truly deserve all the love and support we can offer right now.
