Recently, I learned of a friend's cancer diagnosis. At that time I inquired if she was in need of financial help. Reluctantly, Trisha has reached out and yes, she does need our help to support her and her kids at this time. Trisha has 2 children, Giovanni (15) and Valentina (13). They are currently living in British Columbia.
Trisha received her breast cancer diagnosis in October 2024. What started as stage 1 breast cancer turned into the cancer spreading into her lymph nodes (discovered after her first surgery). Many tests and scans now indicate that her cancer has metastasized into her bones, moving her into stage 4 BC and diagnosed as incurable.
As a result of her diagnosis, traditional treatments are not offered. Her course of treatment is hormonal, to slow the spread. Trisha is determined to defy the odds and we can help her by supporting her financially.
For the time being, Trisha is unable to work. Her mortgage insurance has not kicked in and her EI benefits have not been processed. To add to this, the business she was working for has closed its doors so she will not have a job to return to if and when she is healthy enough to work.
Trisha is choosing to live as healthy as possible, following protocols she has researched. Reducing stress is very important and we can help reduce her financial stress.
She is supremely grateful for your help. Having a financial cushion will aid her in caring for her kids and taking care of herself, that includes alternative medical care. I would love see her be able explore treatments available to her outside of our medical systems.
Thank you for considering and thank you in advance for your contributions. Every amount counts, even the small ones. You can choose to make your donation public or anonymous.
