As most of you know, I'm a private person... I don't blast my personal life on Facebook... I'm also a proud person who despises having to be in a position to have to do this, but I'm humbly asking for your help....

I moved into the house I'm renting now in August of 2024 after leaving my house in Robbins due to tax issues that were out of my control.... I love living here—it's quiet, my neighbors are awesome, and what I pay for rent is a steal for the size of the house... I'm also a block and a half away from my grandkids, and they have their own bedroom here, which I couldn't do in the old house.... One of the reasons I also moved here was that I had filed for disability for my son due to injuries (he suffered a TBI) from getting hit by a car... I naively thought that with his disability check and my paychecks from CK, we'd be fine financially.... The first six months were fine because I was able to pay the rent up ahead of time.... Then the rug was pulled out from under me—disability denied my son's claim last month after a year of expectation that he would receive it (even the disability lawyers I'm working with were shocked he was denied).... The case is in appeal, a process that will take months, so meanwhile, I'm trying to find my son employment, which with his cognitive and personality issues is going to be really difficult..... Naturally, with just my income, trying to survive these last four months has been a huge challenge—I've fallen behind on my bills, including rent... I'm hoping to get help from a church organization for the rent, and I now have a new job that will be enough to pay my rent.... However, I'm still trying to catch up on the rest of my bills like utilities and car insurance (thank God my car is paid for), which is why I'm asking for your help.... Once I'm caught up with rent and other bills, things will be better and I'll have the stress lifted off me for a while (this stress is what landed me in the hospital in February).... Anything you can give is so very much appreciated (please DM me if you have any concerns—I can show my overdue bills that I have for confirmation)... Do know that I'm trying my best to have a good life for me and my son, who I'll have to look out for the rest of his/my life.... Frankly, I'm so tired.....
