Update on Papa:
Hey guys, I’m Leon Gandy’s granddaughter, Brittany McClung, who he calls buttercup and we call him Papa. As many of you know my Papa is so awesome, he has a wonderful personality and the Lord shines through him in his business and in his family and church home. He has always taken such good care of all of us and would give anyone the shirt off his back if he could. During this time of him being at the hospital it has happened all of a sudden and my grandparents weren’t able to prepare for things such as monthly bills and things as simple as eating and gas. I would really love to lift all this burden from them myself if I could but I can’t so I’m asking anyone who knows and loves him to give just a small amount if you can and if not PRAYERS are number one right now. We are praying for healing ultimately and for peace in Gods Will in this all. I feel led to raise some money to help my nana and papa so during his stay in the hospital, no matter how long that may be, that they will not feel financially burdened at all. Please even if it’s just $5, it will add up and we will be so thankful. Thank you all ultimately for your prayers and for any help you are able to give. We love and appreciate you so much
Update on Dad. Tuesday, 6/8/21. Today we received the good news that he will be transported to National HealthCare right here in Sumter. His rehab therapy has been going well, and we'll miss the folks in Florence for sure....but apart from Krispy Kreme, we will not miss the drive! Dad has gone from ICU to a regular hospital room, back to ICU, back to a room, back to ICU, then to the rehabilitation hospital (in which he stayed 3 weeks), and now the National Healthcare facility. He will have a roommate at least for now, so pray that they will get along haha. But, seriously.
Also please pray for his upcoming doctor appointments (for issues separate from the strokes), strength for mom, the business, and for dad's continued good attitude and progress. We really want to see him stay positive! We love you all and thank you, again, for your support and prayers.
