Ease Camilia's Burden After Losing Her Father
Donation protected
For our lovely Sunflower, Camilia and the loss of her father.
Knowing someone for even a short amount of time, we learn the goodness and love that they hold within. Personally, I am one to quickly pick up on how special a person is through the way they carry themselves through life and difficult situations. Fortunately and unfortunately nurses have the gift to identify these people even faster, simply due to the nature of our profession.
We often focus and frequently voice how close we as the nurses become with people, people being our patients- rightfully so, as this is the way we have been taught. However, we have to bring attention to the things that cannot be taught. Traits that are innately and deeply rooted in the make up of oneself handed down from generation to generation.
You see, God always has a master plan behind the things that he does and even though we may not always understand them I think it’s important to shift the focus to the things that we can understand and know to be true. These things serve as pieces of the blueprint that make up God’s overall picture-
- You cannot show another true love without knowing and being truly loved by somebody else.
- You cannot genuinely care for others if you, yourself have never been genuinely cared for
- You cannot show strength in standing up for what you believe in if you, were never shown the strength, grit, and stubbornness in the reward of doing so.
- You cannot place others first if you have never felt or been shown what it’s like to be placed first by somebody else.
All these are beautiful traits that I know Camilia holds and that I know to be true because, I’ve seen them and felt them firsthand from her from Day 1 of meeting her, and after the very first night working a very difficult shift next to each other in a new hospital that I essentially knew nobody at, she took the time to find me and make sure to give me a hug, where we were both able to thank each other, officially grant us the title of sisters, and scream ‘I love you’ to each other down the hall.
Many of you reading who know Cami, know all of these things to be true as well… and for those who know Cami but like in my case have never met her father, Bogdan Orbik can confidently know that Cami is partly who she is, because of him. Our dear friend, Cami lost her beloved father on July 11, 2024. Cami has spent the last few months by her dad’s side, supporting him and her mom. She’s had to take time off from work and has had to use up all her resources.
Because of her dedication to her family I’m asking for those who are willing and able to help ease the burden by contributing to the funeral costs, medical expenses and lost wages. Contributions be made here on GoFundMe, as well as via Camilia’s Venmo (@Corbik92).
Thank you so much, your willingness to help is appreciated.
