Ease Aimee's Burden During Cadillac's Farewell
Donation protected
Aimee fell in love with Cadillac as soon as he was born, 13 years ago. This sweet, loving, cuddly boy has been with her through thick and thin ever since. He sleeps directly by her side—or right on top of her—every night and every chance he gets.
Sadly, Cadillac was diagnosed with cancer earlier this week, and he will be receiving end-of-life care. He’ll be passing peacefully at home with his family on Thursday, May 1st, with the support of an in-home euthanasia service.
Unfortunately, Aimee does not receive any paid time off in her profession, which means she will be losing 100% of her income while she takes leave. Between her dedication to her clients and the financial strain of veterinary bills—both past and upcoming—taking time off was an incredibly difficult decision. But with the strong encouragement of her loved ones, Aimee is choosing to stay home to be with Cadillac in his last moments, and to grieve.
We all know the bond we have with our pets is precious and extraordinary, and to lose them is a unique pain that is not easily overcome without the love and support of community. Your donation will help Aimee, Mel, and Bimmer (Cadillac’s sister) through this difficult time with a little less financial stress, and therefore, a little more peace.
Thank you so much for anything you can give—every bit helps.
