Help Christian Move Forward
Donation protected
I (Susan, right in the picture) met Phoebe Postiglione (left in the picture) in fifth grade more than 50 years ago. I can still see her in her pixie haircut wearing a parka with fur around the hood. She had just moved to Alabama from Alaska. I thought she was an Eskimo! Phoebe stayed with my family a lot during her last years in high school because of an unstable home life. She lived in the Birmingham area for many years after high school.
Fast forward. Phoebe has been living in Colorado for several years with her son Christian. She was on disability, battling MS in addition to other health issues. Her 21 year old son, Christian, has Asperger‘s and relied heavily on her. They were living a very modest life. Family ties are tenuous. No one has stepped up for Christian (pictured below).

Phoebe passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 23. I am writing this three days later. Christian is alone in the apartment trying to figure out what he does next. His lease is up next week. He has a part-time job, no drivers license and $150. The funeral home will not cremate his mom and release her remains until they are paid $3000. With so many decisions to be made, and little time for grieving, Christian needs help.
With the help of another school friend (Greg, middle in picture) we are trying to make arrangements to move Christian to Georgia. He needs a support system. He is in desperate need of short term and long-term assistance. The current plan is to move him and his personal belongings next week.
All donations will go to cremation expenses and Christian’s future.

This was written by my kind and empathetic mother. We humbly ask for any help to assist Christian right now.
Thank you for your support
