Earthquake repairs for Miun and Guy

Hi, our names are Sam and Shelby, and we're asking for your help with two of our dear friends, Miun Vasinthascha and Guy Talpai.

On December 20th, 2022 at 2:34 am, Miun and Guy saw their lives flipped upside down. A magnitude 6.4 earthquake (CNN, KTVU) struck Humboldt County and wreaked massive damage to their home in Rio Dell, CA. The quake caused their house to shift off of its foundation by nearly a foot. Initial damage estimates are between $30,000 - $50,000, and their home is now uninhabitable with no active sewer, water, or gas lines. Countless heirlooms and memories were lost in the blink of an eye, and now they are faced with the possibility that their house may need to be torn down. Unfortunately, the damages are not likely to be covered under insurance.

This all comes after a completely hellish end of the year for their family, which saw the loss of their beloved German Shepard, Charlie, in November; their car nearly totaled due to a deer strike in early December; and both recently suffering from COVID, which has limited the ability for others to help support them through this extremely difficult time.

We're hoping for a Christmas miracle to help Miun and Guy out through this incredibly difficult time. Each donation will go directly towards temporary shelter, cleanup, food, and home repairs or relocation. Any generosity is immensely appreciated and will make a world of difference to two kind, selfless people who we cherish and love so much.
