An earthquake of 7.7 magnitude in Myanmar created devastating damage with more than 1,700 deaths and injured more than 3,400 people. Moreover, it has destroyed more than 1,591 houses. The earthquake's epicentre was located in Sagaing, Mandalay State. The earthquake has been ongoing (as of information received by locals in Mandalay by 3/30/25).

I am a student at one of the United World Colleges, and I am originally from Mandalay, Myanmar. Seeing my hometown in destruction has left me with a sense of loss and emptiness. Thus, I am organizing this fundraising with other students from different United World Colleges around the world.

The fundraising will go directly to non-profit humanitarian aid in Mandalay called 'A Lin Say Taman' (အလင်းစေတမန် in Burmese). This is the organization I volunteered during the COVID-19 in 2020. This organization is NOT related to the Myanmar military nor the National Unity Government (NUG). You can see their everyday aid in Myanmar, through this public Facebook account. Even $1 will be a helpful donation towards humanitarian aid.
