Earthquake Relief Fund - Kahramanmaras Survivors

Turkey & Syria have been hit by a series of massive earthquakes since the 6th of February, leaving thousands of families homeless and in desperate need of basic necessities such as winter clothing. The death toll is expected to triple and rise by the minute, currently around 35.000.

I'm Nesli, was born and grew up in Kahramanmaras, the epicenter of the earthquake in Turkey. My extended family (aunts, uncles and grandfather) and lots of relatives were in Kahramanmaras and were hit by the earthquake severely on February 6th. Fortunately, they managed to leave their house on time and they are alive now, but their houses were damaged severely, they lost their beloved ones, and they are in big trauma. Some were placed in nearby safer cities like Kayseri, Ankara but some are still in Goksun trying to live in tents (Goksun is a small town in Kahramanmaras, was already a very poor area with severe winter conditions; nowadays the temperature is around -5° in the days and -20° in the nights).

I am starting this fundraising campaign to collect money for 10 families that I and my uncle know personally who need help to manage their lives.

There are of course trusted NGOs like Ahbap and I will be more than happy if you prefer to donate to them directly. However, if you also would like to make a small donation for the families I know personally, you can be sure that the money will reach them directly. (As soon as I transfer the money to the families, I will share a bank transfer proof via this document ).
