Earthquake Recovery for the James Family
Donation protected
On November 30, 2018 a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck the state of Alaska. There have since been numerous aftershocks with magnitudes as big as 5.8. Danielle and Jesse, along with their children Logan, Aspen, and Luke, are physically okay, but their home isn’t. Not only was everything inside thrown about and damaged, but the entire structure itself makes the home completely unsafe for living. The main support beam is busted in half, water pipes are broken, there is glass everywhere, and they continue to find more and more damage as they attempt to get things cleaned up. On top of all this, they are fighting with their insurance company who is telling them they will not cover anything, even though they thought an event like this would be insured.
As a long time family friend who feels helpless in Oklahoma, with their permission, I have created this fundraiser to help as they begin to recover from this life altering disaster. All of the money raised will go directly to the James family for home repairs, replacement of lost and damaged items, and any other living out of home expenses that may occur.
