My name is Alpha and I have family and friends in Morocco.

The evening of September 8th, 2023, there was a powerful earthquake in Morocco.

Two days later, more than 2,000 people have died and over 2,000 are injured. Many people have lost family members and the roof over their heads, and are suffering from injuries and need medical assistance, as well and food and drink. Help your brothers and sisters to get through this. They need all the help you can give them.

Every penny will be sent directly to people on the ground. Full transparency is available: contact organizer.

10/14/2023 UPDATE: I wanted to make sure I send the funds received, in the best way possible. After considering various options, it was made clear to me the best option is to transfer the funds received, directly to a Moroccan bank account that was set up by the Moroccan government dedicated to the earthquake relief efforts. The Moroccan government has been leading the coordination of the relief efforts and has been doing a good job in that. They even refused aid from some countries because more harm would be done with too many parties involved. They only accepted aid from four countries and they have been coordinating relief efforts, building shelters, providing clothing and food, etc., and will continue to do so. Below is a screenshot picture of the announcement of the dedicated bank account. Also below are screenshot pictures of the first transfers I sent - I have so far transferred three times, having sent all funds received to date. Thanks to all who donated - please continue helping and let's reach our goal!
