Earthquake Hospital Relief for Croatia - INSEAD
Donation protected
This fundraising initiative is endorsed by the INSEAD Alumni Association of Croatia/Slovenia
Few days ago, in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake hit Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. This was the biggest earthquake to hit the capital Zagreb in 140 years leaving significant damage to the city including hospitals that were already working under stretched resources.

The damage of hospitals has caused a significant decrease on hospital capacity and in return, an additional strain on resources to fight the virus.
We are working with Clinical Hospital Dubrava, which has taken on displaced patients (including newborns) while at the same time taking care of increasing number of coronavirus patients. This hospital was declared as main hospital to receive and treat coronavirus patients in need of critical care, but at the same time is is struggling to:
1. find space inside the hospital for both coronavirus patients in need of isolation as well as displaced patients (incl. newborns) it has taken after the earthquake
2. find enough protective materials (especially medical masks) for doctors, nurses and all the hospitals staff
We are raising funds specifically to support this hospital in battling a dual crisis of the earthquake and coronavirus. The funds will be used to purchase medical masks for this hospital which has more than 1500 medical staff.
We are aligning with doctors (contact person Prof. Tina Peraica) to make sure our help will be best-directed and meaningful.
We will keep you updated with the progress of the initiative.
The INSEAD community all over the world has provided great help to those in need, and we hope it could confirm its power in this enormous challenge Croatia is facing.
Thank you in advance for your help. Please support us by donating and sharing this campaign! For questions please reach out to Angelica, our team member based in Zagreb [email redacted] or Prof. Tina Peraica (KB Dubrava) [email redacted]
