Dear friends and family, I don't know where to start. I am usually the one who sends money to friends' and family's tragedies. I never thought that I would start a GoFundme page for my family one day, but this is personal.

As you may have heard on the news, 2 major earthquakes hit the eastern part of Turkiye (the #3 largest quakes in recent history). My parents & immediate family are far from the center of the earthquake. However, my relatives in the region are in dire need of help (Golbasi, Adiyaman). Thankfully no reports of casualties from my side of relatives, however almost all of their houses are collapsed or damaged and they are forced to seek shelter in tents or temporary housing under frigid temperatures. The region is currently covered with snow and rubble. It was very hard to get information from them but they are saying that they are grateful that they survived, but they had to leave everything behind. Currently, there is no electricity, water, gas or phone signal since the infrastructure is heavily damaged. I have been asked by several family members, friends and colleagues, how to send donations to the needy.

I am coordinating this page to send monetary help along with my sister's assistance who is already there. I have already sent some initial aid, but I know it is not enough. What breaks my heart to pieces is that my relatives rather suffer in hardship than ask for help from anyone. They are hard-working and golden-hearted folks that are facing hardship beyond our imagination. I do have a large number of family members in the region and I want you to know that $10 means, a warm meal for a family of 4 each day. If you can donate anything I assure you that every amount will be sent directly to the Nazli family and my immediate relatives, if you can't donate please feel free to share with others who would like to send help. I will post more updates as I hear.

I want to end my story on a positive note, the death toll is still on the rise but the lives saved are even higher, as matter of fact they're still pulling families alive after 85 hrs of being trapped.
