Puerto Rico Earthquake Relief- Washington DC based

My name is Arnaldo Martinez. I am an Army Veteran who lives in the DC area while working for Ernst and Young (EY). I have experience operating in austere locations in Afghanistan and grew up in Puerto Rico, experience which I will use to deliver aid to those in need. Puerto Rico (PR) has been tragically affected by earthquakes that have decimated the weakened infrastructure left in shambles by Hurricane Maria two years ago. More than 200,000 people are affected, many whom have lost their homes and are now in the streets or camping in the mountains.
I am joining efforts with Mission Board in Puerto Rico to bring relief and aid to Puerto Rico in January 30th through the 6th of February and more trips will be scheduled as funds arrive. I have bought airplane tickets and coordinated with local churches of Mission Board in Puerto Rico to deliver supplies personally to refugees camp and families. One of the biggest hurdle being faced is the lack of man power and logistical capacity to deliver supplies to the affected areas which I will be doing with help of local resources.
The funds will be used to provide families with blankets, tents, moskito spray, baby wipes and diapers, clothes and other basic necessities. Any donations will also be used to ship items to Puerto Rico from local collection efforts where the items will then be handed personally affected families by myself or Mission Board
