Earnest Help for Earnest

The Back Country Barbeque Restaurant has been in business since 1975 and is located on Greenville Avenue just north of Park Lane.  Earnest Griffith has been the Pitmaster at Back Country since its inception.  Earnest has put in six to seven days a week for 45 years preparing smoked brisket, ribs, pork, etc. for Back Country clientele as well as setting up catering for outside events all over Dallas.  If you have ever been to BackCountry, Earnest is the friendly man behind the counter that greets you and prepares your order.

When you do the math, you can see that Earnest is approaching retirement age and with that on his mind, he has received some bad news over the past few days.  Earnest has been diagnosed with Stage Four Prostate Cancer.  Earnest has made up his mind to fight this disease but he is going to need help.  His many friends and customers are working behind the scenes to get Earnest treatment from the best hospitals and doctors in this part of the country.  Once this treatment is set up, Earnest is going to be faced with expenses in excess of what Medicare will pay in addition to travel, lodging, and normal day to day expenses.

We sincerely request support for Earnest Griffith as he supports his family and fights this diagnosis.  He will have many bills piling up which will only add to the stress of cancer on his body.
