Bousso's Baobab – A Multilingual School for Children in Senegal

My name is Bousso Niang. I’m 47 years old, a German-Senegalese mother of three, an educator, social worker, coach and the founder of Bousso’s Baobab.

After 20 years of working in education in Germany, the U.S., and across Africa, I’ve decided to follow my dream:

To create an international, inclusive, and multilingual school in Ngaparou, Senegal – a coastal town south of Dakar.

Why This Project Matters

Ngaparou is growing rapidly, but families in the area lack access to international-standard, multilingual schools. Many parents want their children to receive a high-quality education – one that is inclusive and future-oriented, no matter their income or background.

Bousso’s Baobab is exactly that:

A place of diversity, tolerance, and equal opportunity, built on a trilingual early education model:

German-French-Wolof or English-French-Wolof.

What We’ve Already Achieved

* We’ve rented a house with a garden and transformed it into a preschool and family center

* We’ve developed the "Baobab Pedagogy” – inclusive, strength-based, and culturally sensitive

* We’re supported by an amazing and committed community

But due to construction delays and financial setbacks, we now lack the funds to fully launch the program.
