Early Birds and Night Owls Child Care

Hi!

My name is Callie Hill and I'm the president of Early Birds and Night Owls Child Care. I'm reaching out to raise funds for a new, nonprofit 24/7 Family Child Care that will be located in Detroit Lakes, MN!

What makes us stand out from the rest?

- Our hours! We'll be caring for children during the day but also overnight and on weekends!

- We are a nonprofit- that means we're able to offer lower fees based on income level (though competitive weekly rates will still be charged to put back into the program), as well as accepting subsidies such as Early Learning Scholarship and CCAP. This will allow us to serve the most families in the community.

- We will be using the Montessori Curriculum, this is child lead and open ended.

- We will put an emphasis on social- emotional and self regulation skills- this means that the program will work hard to encourage positive behavior and help children overcome challenging behavior.

- We will be on the Adults' and Children's Alliance food program allowing us to serve nutritious meals- supper, snack and breakfast will be offered to overnight children as well as breakfast, lunch and snack for daytime children.

- Our board is child focused and only wants to provide the best care for children in our community!

Please consider donating to this project- it is something the community desperately needs, Becker County has a child care shortage of around 550 child care slots and this program will help alleviate some of that!
