My name is Luke Richards, and I am proud to say that I was adopted at the tender age of 2 years old, by my father, the late Williams Richards, and my mother, the late Earlene Richards. They reared me to become a self-sufficient father of two, and a member of my community. I will forever be grateful to the two of them, for caring for me, and showing me the love that I needed. My father took his rest in 2005, and my mother recently took her rest on Dec. 26, 2023. My mother fought a good fight battling cancer, and she had a desire for her remains to be placed with her husband of 25 years. Due to her ailing health, she was no longer able to maintain an insurance policy, and because of that, I find myself in a situation where I am not able to honor her wishes, to be buried with her husband. Please help me to raise the necessary funds to have her remains flown from South Carolina to Massachusetts. The cost to make the arrangements which would include transporting her remains, and facilitating the preparation of the remains before committal, would be $15,000. I humbly ask for support in honoring my dear mother Earlene Richards final wishes.
