Earl and Jeff need our help!

I am organizing this Go Fund Me for my brother Jeff, and his amazing service dog Earl. Jeff would never ask for help on his own, so I am doing it for him. If Jeff and Earl have ever touched your life in person or through social media...or if you believe in their work, please donate anything you can (no donation is too small). I know times are tough for many people out there and your kindness will never be forgotten. If the money we raise exceeds Earl’s medical expenses, it will be donated to the Go Fetch Wellness Foundation, a charitable organization, so that Jeff and Earl can continue their mission of addressing mental health in communities through the human-animal connection.

Sunday evening, as Earl was being taken into emergency surgery, doctors told Jeff that he should say goodbye...they thought it quite possible Earl would not survive, or that he would need to be put to sleep during the surgery.  All Jeff could think about was that he couldn’t say goodbye.  Earl is not even 8 years old and a major part of Jeff’s world. 

Earl is still hospitalized after abdominal surgery to repair a twisted colon, a rare and often fatal condition in dogs. After fighting for his life, he seems to be improving but still has a long road ahead of him.

Jeff’s work with Earl has not been about money, which is a major reason that he needs help affording Earl’s medical care. He would do anything for Earl. His mission has always been about connection and kindness and sharing the message of Go Fetch Wellness so that others will not suffer as he has.

I hope Earl will have more time so he and Jeff can continue to give back by helping others understand more about the wonderful healing qualities of animals, particularly those who have mental health struggles.
