My Camino Walk

For some years now, I’ve had the ambition to walk a section of the Camino de Santiago. Only recently, thanks to a great group of friends, have I finally had the chance to make it happen. I felt this was an excellent opportunity to do some good along the way.

My granddaughter — like all grandchildren, a wee dote — has been diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum. She needs additional support with her education, and thankfully, she receives this at St Mary’s Greenlough Primary School, where she is thriving thanks to the incredible staff.

However, as is so often the case, these dedicated units can only do so much with the resources they have. That’s why I’ve decided to use this Camino walk as a way to raise whatever funds I can for the SEN unit in St Mary’s Greenlough.

If you’re in a position to donate anything at all — large or small — it would mean a great deal, not just to me, but to all the children who benefit from this specialist support.

I’ll be sharing updates as we go along and hopefully some good news about how much we’re able to raise together.

We’ll be walking from 18th to 23rd September—
115kms total.

Thank you sincerely, for any support you can offer.
