Hello, I'm Holt Rankin, Life Scout with Troop 1, in Tulsa, OK. I've been in scouts since the 4th grade and currently a Freshman at Booker T Washington high school. I'm reaching out today to seek financial assistance to help cover expenses for materials, supplies and tools to complete my Eagle Scout project. I hope you'll consider making a donation. Out of 2+ million Scouts in the USA, only 1% reach Eagle rank? I hope to be next. My goal is to reach $2200.
My Eagle project is for John 3:16. John 3:16 is a charity organization that helps members of our community who are in need. Several times a week, John 3:16 has trained mission staff who seek to find the homeless and hungry people in our community and offer help. The goal is to check on their wellbeing and encourage them to come to the mission for care and recovery. At the mission's facilities, they will feed, provide counseling and housing for the hungry, and those recovering from alcoholism and drug abuse, using Christ centered therapeutic principles, which include professional counseling tools to help overcome addiction.
My project is to build a rock bed with border around a pre-existing gazebo with 8 swings. In the center of the rock bed, I plan to build a firepit, making the area more accessible throughout the various Oklahoma seasons. People will be able to enjoy the swings year round. I will clean the area by removing grass and weeds, prepping the area for the rock bed. This will make it easier for people to access the swings plus have the ability to use the area night and day. John 3:16 hopes to use the area for counseling sessions for people in recovery. The rock bed and fire pit will finish out the area making it tranquil and peaceful. With your help, we can make changes to those in need. Please know, any unused funds, will be donated to John 3:16. Thanks for your time and consideration.
