Eagle Scout Project: HAPPIer Pig Pens!

HI, my name is Alex D. I am an Eagle Scout Candidate with Troop 325 who wants to help HAPPI Farm take care of its two pigs. Hollywood and Pete are great pigs who need help staying healthy. They need to be able to get out of the mud for a good part of the day to keep from getting infections. At this moment, they are unable to do it. They need our help!

They need platforms to allow them to stay clean and dry to avoid medical issues and infections. My team and I are going to do it for my Eagle Project. It will be large enough to keep the Pigs out of the mud, and built strong enough to handle their weight (Hollywood ~ 600 lbs, Pete ~ 350 lbs) and their caregivers. The platform will be built out of durable materials that will stand up to the Florida Climate for many years.

Note that the benefactor will show up as a leader from my scout troop. Money from the project will be directed to the troop account and then dispersed for the project. Upon completion of the project, any excess funds will be turned over and donated to HAPPI Farm.
