Eagle Scout Project for Wat Mongkolratanaram
Donation protected
My name is Lauchlan MacLellan. I am an Eagle Scout Candidate from Troop 203 in Oakland. I am excited to raise funds for my Eagle Project!
My project will benefit Wat Mongkolratanaram, a Thai Buddhist temple in Berkeley, California. The temple hosts a weekly Sunday Thai Brunch for all of the Berkeley community. Currently, the temple's storage shed, which they use to store many of their supplies, is in disrepair.
I first plan to clear the area around the existing shed of stored materials to allow access to the existing aluminum shed. I will disassemble the existing shed and take it to a local recycler. I will then build a new aluminum shed of the same size, from a kit. I will then install a floor, which the existing shed does not have, build shelves, and install a light.
After the shed is complete, I will move back the stored materials that were initially moved to create the work space.
Your donations will go to materials including the shed kit, metal shelving material, and lumber, any tools or safety equipment that must be purchased, and food for my volunteer team. As I am not a registered non-profit, donations are not tax-deductible. Any remaining funds will be donated to Wat Mongkolratanaram.
I am are very grateful for your support as I make my way towards Eagle!
