Eagle Project Fundraiser by Andy Thomas

My name is Andy Thomas and I am a Life Scout in Troop 122 in Belton, TX. I began my scouting career while a 1st grader at Lakewood Elementary. I was a member of Pack 117, where I earned my Arrow of Light. I am currently a Sophomore at Lake Belton High School and am in the marching and concert band playing the tuba and in jazz band playing the bass trombone. I am working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. Scouting has been a big part of my life, I have loved camping across Texas, Oklahoma, Philmont, sleeping on the USS Lexington, hiking and participating in holding the American flag at a NASCAR race during the national anthem and many other adventures. One of the Eagle Scout rank requirements is developing, planning, fundraising and executing a service project. For my Eagle Project, I am excited to build and install a little free library and bench by the walking bridge that connects the sidewalk on Weatherford Drive at the Campus at Lakewood Ranch neighborhood to Lakewood Elementary. I had the honor of helping my brother build the bridge for his Eagle Project and I am excited to have the little free library and bench by it for students and families to use for years to come.
