Eagle Project: Cancer Survival Bags
Donation protected
My name is Jonathan Clymer. I am a Life Scout with Troop 399 in Raleigh. I started as a Tiger scout with my Dad until he passed away from cancer two years ago. After watching 2 1/2 years of treatment, I wanted to give patients and their caregiver something to help on appointment and treatment days. That is how I came up with Cancer Survival bags. The money I raise will go towards putting together at least 50 bags to give to patients at UNC Cancer Hospital Infusion Center. The bags are insulated lunch bags with two insulated hot / cold cups, a special cookbook, journal, thank you cards, and other relevant items.
This project is very personal to me. The support I receive will be greatly appreciated not only by me but by the patients who will receive these bags. The infusion center treats more than 60 patients a day, Monday through Friday. Fifty bags will touch only a small group of patients. Any additional funds will be used to assemble more bags to touch more lives. Thank you so much for helping me help others.
