Madelaine Lou / MAX her Beloved Dog
Donation protected
Madeleine Floh was recently brutally Murdered by her boyfriend. Her 2 year old Blue Heeler "Max" was beaten and traumatized during the Murder while trying to protect Maddie. Max was repeatedly beaten then dumped on the side of Hwy 50, because Max refused to leave her side. His custom made collar with a tracking device was taken off Max obviously so the tracking device would not lead the police to the Murders location. Joe Springer saw Max on the side of the road at 0200 am and rescued him and listed him in the lost and found in Grand Junction. Max's collar had been removed, so there were no tags, identification or tracking device
Once I saw Max's photo, I went down and claimed Max while continuing to search for Maddie as I knew she would want to see her beloved Max as soon as we found her. Max stayed at my side 24/7 as I believe he knew I was desperately looking for his Maddie. We had many people, Search & Rescue teams, Mesa and Delta Sheriffs dept searching for over a week. On day 9 from when she went missing, we received the news that her Killer, Edgar had brutally murdered her, turned himself in, and confessed to strangling Maddie in Hotchkiss, then transported her to Utah.
I was a very close & personal friend to Maddie, and Max knew me quite well. Max had been so very traumatized, that when I tried to get him out of the truck as we were searching, when I would set him on the ground, his legs would just buckle. His heart was so very broken, after he watched and tried to defend his beloved owner Maddie.
I wanted to help Max heal & recover for a few days. I immediately knew that Joe, who found Max would be a very good home, as he and Max shared a bond of trust, when Joe rescued him at 2 am, just a few hours after Maddie had been Murdered. Joe and Stephanie had strongly indicated that they would really like to have Max and that he would be cared for very well. Max has now somewhat recovered and I took Max to Joe and his family 7/1/18 at 2 pm. where he was reunited with Joe, Stephanie and their family. Max immediately recognized Joe, and ran to him with his tail wagging.
Max needs more than a standard collar, as he has been known to be quite a Houdini dog and has backed out of nearly every collar made, which is why Max had a Custom Built collar with a tracking device. I would like to have a Custom Harness built for Max with a Polyurethane container with some of Maddies ashes in it so that Maddie will always be with her beloved Max. We would also like to raise enough money for an indoor kennel, food, toys, etc., and to get Max ID chipped to get him off to a great start with his new family.
Madeleine was a wonderful 27 year old young lady with her whole life ahead of her. She loved Max so very much and would do anything for him. Max fiercely tried to protect Maddie, and refused to leave her side until he was forced out of the vechicle, where Maddie was then driven to Southern Utah and dumped off by I-15. I know if Max were with her, he would have Died before he ever would have ever left her side. Please, Please help us get this wonderful, faithful, loyal dog the things he needs to start off his life with his new, loving family. I know Maddie would be so thankful for everyone who will help Max begin his new life adventure.
