Yet again, our community has been struck by unimaginable loss. Having moved to teach here 11 years ago, one thing that I can say for sure about the Midland Trail Community is that we are like none other. No matter the circumstance, whether health, an accident, or devastating weather, the support pours from every direction. I wouldn’t want to live or teach anywhere else. Seeing the destruction caused by yesterday’s tornado, walking into the homes, the sanctuaries, where the fondest memories with their families were made and their precious possessions were kept, of two of my dearest students, left me speechless. So many are struggling now, but if you have anything to spare to help these families rebuild and pick up the pieces, it is beyond appreciated. If nothing else, lend a hand, buy a meal, offer a hot shower, a prayer, or just keep them in your hearts. ❤️
