My name is Ms. Kim. I am a resident of Detroit and have been all my life. I currently reside in the worst zip code in the state of Michigan…better known as “The Red Zone” which is 48205. I have been advocating for change within our community and is on the neighborhood advisory board for my area. I live in between two vacant homes and have been graciously waiting for them to be demolished. As of 11/01/21, the homes have begun the demolition process.

Once the homes have been demolished, I plan to use the spaces for a community garden, a play area for the children in the community and community events. I will have to fence at least 4 areas and i can’t do it all by myself. I will be having fundraisers for my t-shirts to help raise money to obtain the required fencing. The t-shirts state Each 1 Teach 1 Reach Back & Get 1 which is 3 people moving forward. The t-shirts are 1 for $15 or 2 for $25. If you would like to purchase a t-shirt please call Ms. Kim. Delivery is available within the local Wayne, Macomb and Oakland Counties.

In the spring a prayer breakfast will be held to bless the new area to speak, safety, unity, prosperity and hope into our area. The prayer breakfast will be available to all.
